What is Sefton LSCB……?

There are 8 subgroups of the LSCB which focus in the following areas:

Child Sexual Exploitation, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups, Learning & Development, Practice Review Panel, Policy & Procedures, Performance & Quality Assurance, Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and Joint Health Sub-group (Liverpool & Sefton).


LSCB Priorities for 2017:

Ensure Early Help Services are effective

Ensure the identification of neglect is robust and children living in neglectful circumstances are identified and safeguarded

The prioritising of vulnerable groups, ensuring children are protected and risk is managed appropriately

Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) / Missing Children

Sefton Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) is a statutory partnership with a range of responsibilities. The main objectives of a LSCB are:

to put in place arrangements to help professionals work together to keep children safe, and;

to check that those arrangements are effective.
